At Shane, we aim to create a safe and supportive platform for the LGBTQ+ community. By using our platform, you agree to follow these guidelines:
Prohibited Activities
Outing Individuals or Entities: Outing people or organisations without their consent is strictly prohibited.
The only exceptions are public figures who are already publicly out.
We will not allow naming of other users, staff, or private individuals in reviews, ratings, or any content.
Data Scraping or Extraction: Scraping, harvesting, or automating the collection of data from Shane’s platform is not allowed.
Hate Speech or Harassment: Sharing hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content is prohibited.
Defamatory or Harmful Content: Do not post false, defamatory, or harmful reviews or information.
Allow List for Unsafe Regions
In countries where it is unsafe or illegal to be LGBTQ+, Shane will use an allow list approach. Who can be listed:
Advocacy Groups or International Organizations active in the region (e.g., UNHCR, Human Rights Watch).
Local LGBTQ+ organizations that are publicly active in the country.
Any entity that has explicitly requested to be listed as a ratable entity.
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
Content removal.
Suspension or termination of accounts.
Legal action if applicable.
